Eclectic little gem. The mid century modern decor is so welcoming and adorable. Taco Tuesday was delicious. The margarita was too tart for my liking but it paired well with the salsa and guacamole. I loved my ceviche and my fish tacos so I’m absolutely curious to taste their other items off their menu.

A must eat restaurant in NE Iowa! Everything was so fresh and flavorful. For an appetizer we had the tokyo woodfired turnips which were incredibly flavorful and used fresh herbs to flavor them. We tried the fertillian, the ziggy stardust and the pope's lasagna. All of our entrees were standout options and I'd order them all again. If you're needing some dessert after the savory dishes give the butterscotch custard a try and you won't be disappointed. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the river. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant including the mismatched vintage dishes and silverware. Our servers were very attentive and came back to check on us often. All around an incredible place to dine, just make sure to get a reservation as they often are fully packed.

This a local gem. The food is really good. I've been here a few times over the years. Ownership has changed recently but the taste and quality of food haven't. The one item I didn't care for in terms of the presentation was the "pizza" we ordered for our kids.. they looked more like bread sticks. With that out of the way.. this is really a gem. I usually don't order pork chops. They all tend to be the same. Kind of bland and dry and desperately in need of a sauce. Not here. Their pork chop is especially fatty and the way they cook it, almost burning the outside, leaves the actual pork chop almost melting in your mouth. But remember.. it is fatty. Same with steak.. I usually don't order steaks but their rare steak is perfectly cooked. If you end up there on taco Tuesdays, any of the tacos is just very well made and assembled. I loved their chicken, mushroom, beef and fish tacos in that order. One thing about ambience: if you end up in the back room with an idyllic view of the river and a small footbridge.. be ready for some really loud volumes of sound. No one has to yell . The room is too small and often there are about 22-27 people in there having 22-100 conversations trying to be heard over the ever increasing sounds of voices. My wife measured 85dB yesterday on her phone. They should do something about that.. perhaps change the wall treatments to absorb more sound. They have a small cocktail menu.. the Fertile Fizz is a favorite of mine, refreshing on a summer afternoon. Margarita is pretty good as well. They also have a good beer and wine selection. Be sure to make a reservation.

Always such an amazing time here! I’m telling you this place has wonderful vegetarian and vegan options, great service and very prompt, friendly, affordable and the vibe and atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. I will always come back and recommend! One thing I will say is you will need a reservation to eat here the majority of the time especially if the outdoor dining isn’t available, they have made accommodations but we also have been turned down. But hey it’s popular!!

We visit Cafe Mir several times a year and always have amazing food and service! Taco night is a must on Tuesday’s (chicken and fish shown) including their margaritas, and when they weather is nice you can eat outdoors or get take-out and walk across the bridge to the park. Great atmosphere! Just had dinner there last night and the salmon was amazing(pictured), the best I’ve ever had! We also shared a bottle of wine and took home some Pecan Pie. Prices are reasonable, you could even say cheap for the quality and taste of food. You will not be disappointed. Props to the chef Josh, and the wonderful staff!!
